Booking an ensemble

To book an ensemble or soloist for an event, a contract is required, as well as a 50 percent deposit, which is nonrefundable.

For the contract, you will need to have the following information:

-name of one person responsible for the bill

-that person’s mailing address

-date of the event

-type of ensemble you wish to hire

-exact start and stopping times for the musicians to play

-location of the event

-street address of the event’s location

When deciding on your start time for wedding ceremonies, you should allow 15-30 minutes for a prelude as your guests arrive.

Generally, a longer prelude is best for ceremonies which take place in churches, temples or synagogues, as guests who arrive early will be sitting quietly in these places and listening to the music. For ceremonies in non-religious settings, either a long or a short prelude can be very effective.

We have years of experience playing weddings, and we will be happy to offer suggestions if you’re unsure of how long your prelude should be.

When planning the musicians’ stop time, please allow at least 10 minutes after the latest time you feel your ceremony may end. This will allow for the recessional, and exit music for your guests, as well as to assure that if the ceremony runs over, none of the musicians will be forced to leave before playing your recessional.

We do try to stay to the end of the ceremony in the event that it lasts longer than expected, but we cannot guarantee availability past the stop time listed in the contract.

We are available either through email or by phone (410-526-7779) to answer any questions you may have about what is right for you and your event.
